Atlanta artist Mariah the Scientist was released from jail after being arrested for an alleged physical altercation that occurred at Cavo Kitchen and Cocktail Lounge in Buckhead on March 28.
A woman claimed that Mariah the Scientist forcefully removed her wig and dragged her across the room. The woman said she didn’t know why she was attacked and called 911 after she left the club. The woman also claims that she suffered minor scratches on her feet from being dragged while she was wearing heels.
On May 1, Mariah the Scientist was booked into Fulton County Jail but was released later that day. She has not issued any statement regarding the arrest and is set to perform tonight at the Tabernacle for her tour.
The artist is also well known for her relationship with Young Thug, who is currently on trial for the YSL RICO case.
In January 2024, she went viral after a jail call between her and Young Thug was leaked on social media. Though people were clowning the conversation between the two, the main issue was how the call got leaked.
According to Billboard, a spokesperson for the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office said the recording between the couple was not leaked and that Thug is at Cobb County Jail where the call took place. Cobb County Jail told Billboard that the call was not leaked.
