A’ja Wilson had a signature shoe in the works all along.
The Las Vegas Aces superstar and two-time WNBA MVP announced on the morning of May 11 that her signature Nike shoe will be released in 2025. The show is called the A’One.
“It’s been incredible working with Nike toward a dream of having my collection, and it really is an honor to take this next step and become a Nike signature athlete,” Wilson said to the outlet Boardroom. “From my logo to the look of the shoe and the pieces throughout the collection, we’ve worked to make sure every detail is perfectly tuned to my game and style.”

Nike released a statement regarding Wilson’s upcoming shoe.
“You thought we’d sleep on an SEC champion, national champion, #1 draft pick, five-time All-Star, U.S. Olympic gold winner, WNBA Finals MVP, a statue-having, New York Times Best Seller, TIME 100 Most Influential People in 2024, two-time WNBA champion, two-time Defensive Player of the Year, two-time WNBA MVP, and pettiest hooper on the internet? You thought,” Nike said.
“Of course, Aja’s got a shoe.”
Many people went into an uproar when it was announced that Caitlin Clark, this year’s WNBA No.1 draft pick, was receiving a signature shoe before she even stepped on the professional floor. What left many confused was that Wilson didn’t have a signature shoe, despite all the accomplishments that she’s had throughout her years in the WNBA.
Candace Parker, who recently announced her retirement from the WNBA, was the only active Black player in the league with a signature shoe. Parker is now the president of Adidas women’s basketball.
