To commemorate the commencement of the 2024 WNBA season, the national media bellowed that Caitlin Clark’s first flight as a professional basketball player was via private charter. Angel Reese wasn’t so lucky.

Caitlin’s former collegiate rival, Angel Reese, who is now with the Chicago Sky, still has to fly commercial. So do most of the members of the WNBA’s 12 teams.
Worse, Reese’s teammate Brianna Turner was resigned to sit in the middle seat for the Sky’s cross-country flight to play the Dallas Wings on Wednesday, May 15.
“Just praying that this is one of the last commercial flights the Chicago Sky has to fly …” Reese, aka the “Bayou Barbie,” said to her half-million Instagram story followers.
Reese echoed the sentiments of her teammate,Turner, who had this to say on her X platform:
“Like Breezy said ‘practicing gratitude and patience’ as the league introduces charter flights for all teams.”
Meanwhile, WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert vows that all the teams will eventually be able to fly charter but that it will take some time to implement the logistical plan, which she said has been more difficult that she original planned.
By the summr of 2024, all 12 teams will fly charter to every away game “as soon as we can logistically get planes in places,” she said at the league meeting, according to the Indianapolis Star.

Angel Reese has Caitlin Clark on her mind way to much, win a title and then talk, who cares how you fly, and the Indiana team should be on your mind when you play them, so far Clark owns you because you’re already mouthing off on all things Caitlin, quiet up, and ball!

The media is pushing this narrative. All Reese said was she can’t wait to fly charter, nothing about Caitlin. Media pushes the narrative to clicks and likes.
Relax angel Reese has so much class she not worried at all and believe me she gonna ball. So don’t get your pants all in a bunch she is gonna bring the fire for sure . Team Angel Reese day one.
The entire teams should be chartered flights. Caitlin is playing a sport dominated mainly by blacks. So, when they get their superstar who can play at that level. She will be considered the best to ever play the game and will receive all the perks. It’s what we do. A”ja said it best.
She has a right to note what she sees. Everything is not about Caitlin. There is no I in team! Whenever a sport that is dominated by blacks, the world goes nuts over the non black player. I take nothing away from Caitlin, but she will be treated better than any of those sisters regardless.
WNBA needs to step up.. no one player should get preferential treatment. It literally is at the expense of others..
