Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, is doubling down on her stance in the virtual back-and-forth between her and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga.
“That’s all it is, it is racism,” Crockett said to reporters on May 17, according to CNN. “And she decided that she was going to be that person out loud and out front on yesterday. The difference is I just wasn’t going to take it laying down.
“She is racist. I mean, I don’t have any questions about that.”
Crockett went on CNN for an interview with Abby Phillip about the situation. The congresswoman said she never would have referred to Greene as someone with a “bleach[ed] blonde bad built butch body” if the committee had removed Greene’s “fake eyelashes” remark to Crockett. The committee did not remove Greene’s words, so Crockett doubled down.
“[I] basically wanted to know if I could talk s— about her appearance as well,” Crockett posted on X. “Y’all know what she looks like, right?
“PEOPLE IN GLASS HOUSES!
“This is what happens when mentally deficient people who can’t read and follow rules or just don’t give a d—… somehow end up in CONGRESS!”
Some committee members suggested congress members were drinking the night of the meeting, a claim to which Crockett said she’s sure Greene didn’t need to be intoxicated to make such a statement toward her.
The original point of the meeting was to discuss Attorney General Merrick Garland refusing to release audio recordings from President Joe Biden’s interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur. Hur recently referred to Biden as a “well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory,” according to USA Today.
During the meeting, Greene randomly asked Democrats if they’ve hired the daughter of Judge Juan Merchan, who is overseeing former President Donald Trump’s hush money trial. Merchan’s daughter does actually work with many Democratic candidates, making Greene’s off-topic question a popular talking point in the MAGA-verse. Crockett asked Greene if she knew what Congress was actually meeting for at the moment, which led to Greene saying Crockett couldn’t see with her fake eyelashes. Greene’s tirade also ended up with her telling Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York she didn’t have the intelligence to debate her.
Like Crockett doubled down on her comments, so did Greene.
“AOC isn’t intelligent,” Greene posted on X. “Jasmine Crockett has fake eyelashes.
“These aren’t attacks on personalities. These are just facts.”

Lazy and racist is discrediting someone’s intelligence because of the length of their eyelashes. She responded accordingly. If her comments are lazy, then the Butch Built Blonde’s comments were lazy as well. You are calling her lazy for responding to the blonde dimwit, but dismissing the fact that her eyelashes had NOTHING to do with the subject at hand.
