Diddy won’t be prosecuted for Cassie but he’ll face other charges, says lawyer

Many Cassie supporters were disappointed that Diddy will not be charged after getting caught on camera viciously beating, kicking, and dragging the singer in a hotel eight years ago.

However, an attorney said the Bad Boy business baron may face more serious charges in other cases.

Diddy escapes prosecution in the Cassie beatdown, but the feds are lurking

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office told the public on its Instagram page that they are powerless to pursue any charges against Sean “Diddy” Combs due to the statute of limitations.

“If the conduct depicted occurred in 2016, unfortunately, we would be unable to charge as the conduct would have occurred beyond the timeline where a crime of assault can be prosecuted,” District Attorney George Gascón stated. “As of today, law enforcement has not presented a case related to the attack depicted in the video against Mr. Combs.”

Another lawyer predicts doom for Diddy at the hands of the feds

Fans of Cassie may be consoled by the words of rapper Kodak Black’s attorney Bradford Cohen who forecasts doom for Diddy.

He stated on social media that CNN got a hold of the tape because an unknown individual leaked the footage to them. He also predicts that there are going to be sweeping charges raining down on Diddy from the U.S. Department of Justice.

Meanwhile, celebrity attorney Gloria Allred said Diddy could still be charged in the brutal beatdown of Cassie. If federal investigators can tie sex trafficking to that incident in Los Angeles in 2016, then he can still get indicted. Allred said sex trafficking has a 10-year statute of limitation.

Allred told News Nation that she wasn’t surprised by the “disgusting” and “disturbing” footage. Allred said Diddy treated Cassie “as though she’s not a human being but just an object that he owns.”
