Fans of the OWN network hit show “Love and Marriage: Huntsville” know Melody Shari has a voracious thirst for life, coupled with an inexorable determination to pursue all of her personal goals and business aspirations.

However, the serial entrepreneur and singer admits that while she’s become a national celebrity based on her transparency in the reality series, there are parts of her life that she jealously guards from public consumption — or refuses to speak on anymore. Though fans don’t see Shari responding to rumors and innuendos, particularly regarding her previous marriage, they don’t have all the answers.

That dichotomy of being both public and private, vacillating between the two regularly, inspired the singer to release her new single and video for “Nobody’s Business” on Mother’s Day weekend. The song climbed to the top of the iTunes RnB chart and currently sits in the top 20 across all genres.

Shari, a multi-hyphenate businesswoman, sought-after speaker, and teacher, as well as a singer, elaborated on what precipitated the lyrical construction of “Nobody’s Business.”

“So there have been conversations [about] what is people’s business? What isn’t people’s business, and despite my desire to be straightforward and upfront, there’s also been that low chatter of hey, ‘it ain’t nobody’s business,'” she explained to rolling out.

“I’m in this phase where I say, ‘no gray area.’ So [many] [times, at] gigs where I have to perform or [speak], I’m wearing black and white, ‘no gray area.’ [Hence] the title ‘Nobody’s Business,’ but within the song, it [still gives] my truth in my reality.”

Shari, who recently hosted a political fundraiser for “CSI: NY” star and U.S. Senate candidate Hill Harper, also splits her time as the founder of the Seventh Avenue Beauty product line. Shari also teaches her Property Preservation Masterclass, which she [proudly announces] has produced more than 900 entrepreneurs.

Writing and singing songs is another dimension to Shari that has contributed to her evolution and has been cathartic. Shari finds she no longer responds reflexively to the toxicity and drama that often swirls outside her orbit.

“You don’t see me babbling on the internet (anymore) or going back and forth with people,” Shari explains. “Don’t think that that means you know the story. Sometimes people have their story, but they’re holding onto them and [not] saying anything because [they choose] not to vibrate low like that [daily]. So don’t let my silence cause you to think you know my story.”

“Nobody’s Business” can be found on Apple Music, while the video can be viewed on YouTube and Shari’s platforms.
