Columbus Short will soon return to television as one of the leads in the upcoming Bounce TV original series “Mind Your Business.”
In his first leading television role since leaving ABC and Shondaland’s hit show “Scandal” in 2014, Short will star as Alfonso Williams, fraternal twin to sister Aaliyah (Drew Sidora), as the two lead the way in reinvigorating and ultimately saving the family business.
The show centers on the Chicago-based Williams family, who collectively rallies around Lucille Williams (Rolonda Watts) as she struggles to keep the doors open in her once-thriving upscale lounge. When her baby brother, Henry (Bebe Winans), recruits his talented twins to help, the pair transform the flailing business into a modern event planning and hosting space.
While the family business thrives, things behind the scenes do not run as smoothly with a unique mix of strong personalities, generational differences, and complicated family dynamics all making for humorous and heartfelt storytelling.
Executive produced by Bentley Kyle Evans (“Martin”, “The Jamie Foxx Show”), the series will also feature Caryn Ward Ross, Brely Evans, Bryce Xavier, and Chloe Elise Ellis.
Bounce TV’s “Mind Your Business” premieres with back to back episodes on June 1.
