NBA star Draymond Green says Caitlin Clark needs enforcer to protect her

NBA star Draymond Green said the Indiana Fever needs to quickly invest in an enforcer if they are going to protect America’s darling and WNBA basketball star, Caitlin Clark.

Outside of Donald Trump, the most racially polarizing figure in America may be the WNBA rookie sensation out of Iowa, Clark, who was the tw0-time Player of the Year before getting drafted No. 1 by the Fever.

Multitudes of Clark fans, overwhelmingly White, are irate that the WNBA players, mostly Black females, are committing what they call hard fouls on Clark out of jealousy. Fans are accusing the players of being envious and resentful of Clark’s meteoric rise in fame and her multimillion-dollar product deals and are subsequently bullying her on the basketball court.

There have been some cheap shots, to be sure, evidenced by the unprovoked shoving of Clark to the ground by Chicago Sky’s Chennedy Carter during Saturday’s game, which. the Fever won in a one-point nail-biter, 71-70.

When asked about the move afterward, Carter declined to answer and responded with “next question.”

Later, a fan on Instagram shared the remarks which prompted a response from Green.

“Indiana better go invest in an enforcer… FAST!” the Golden State Warriors star wrote in the comments section.

Many fans were in agreement with Green that the team needs a bruiser who will punish opponents who commit unnecessary fouls against Clark and her teammates:

  1. Clark is outclassing those bullying her and taking the high road. Public opinion will turn against those players bullying her and openly show vocal and media support for Catlin. Those players are biting the hand that feeds them and can’t accept that. Look at attendance and interest in the WNBA this year compared to last year. People aren’t interested in watching those bullying players or they would have shown interest last year. They’re coming to see one player…. CATLIN CLARK.

  2. I agree with Draymond and we as people and players need to respect each other on and off the court. I realize that Basketball is a very competitive sport, but there’s a limit that comes with respect from all teams. Play the sport and quit trying to draw attention and wow alot of likes, As you see Caitlin Clark never say anything bad about the teams she’s been defending with. Even though the media loves the drama side, but that what sets Caitlin far away from the rest of the team. She would love to fit in, but the Fever needs to open their hearts and eyes more with open arms.
