Foxy Brown could be key to convicting Keefe D in Tupac murder

Rap legend Foxy Brown could be a contributor in the prosecution’s quest to convict notorious gang member Keefe D in the murder of Tupac Shakur after almost 30 years.

Brown, who was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, under the name Inga Merchand, could be put on the Clark County District Attorney’s Office witness list, according to RadarOnline and the U.S. Sun. Prosecutors reportedly want Brown to corroborate Keefe D’s own words about allegedly interacting with her shortly before 2Pac was gunned down.

Keefe D, who is also called “Keffe D,” wrote in his book, Compton Street Legend, that he met Brown the night he allegedly took part in the assassination of Shakur in Las Vegas on September 7, 1996.

Davis wrote: “As I walked up to the driver’s side window, I noticed that the rapper, Foxy Brown, was in the car with [Eric Von] Zip. So he instructed her to step out of the car and motioned for me to jump in. Zip had a hidden compartment that he opened up, reached in, and pulled a black .40 Glock out. He turned to me and said, ‘It’s time to get the money.’”

Keefe D also penned, “Zip handed me the 17-shot pistol, which I promptly put down the back waist of my pants. I hopped out of the car, held the door open for Foxy Brown to get back in, closed the door, and they pulled off.“

Keefe D, whose birth name is Duane Davis, and his attorneys successfully petitioned to have the trial pushed back to November 2024 to go over the case’s new discovery. Davis, 60, has remained in the Clark County Detention Center on a $750K bond after he was arrested at his home in suburban Henderson in September 2023.

Keefe D has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder. He could spend the rest of his life in prison if he is convicted.

The publications report that Keefe D could be released on an ankle monitor if he and his family can come up with the bond money.
