Microsoft has solved an issue with the Windows 11 taskbar vanishing on users.
The tech giant has launched a new update for its operating system and addressed a bug where the taskbar was vanishing before reappearing, causing confusion and annoyance for users.
“This update addresses a known issue that affects the taskbar. It might briefly glitch or not respond. It might also disappear and reappear,” Microsoft said in the notes for the June 2024 update.
The glitch first appeared following an optional update which was introduced in May 2024.
Microsoft quickly issued a rollback for any devices with that preview update, in an automatic move which meant users didn’t have to take any action.
Elsewhere in the new update for Windows 11 is the long-awaited arrival of the drag-and-drop function for the File Explorer address bar.
Other changes include alterations to Account Manager in the Start Menu, build-up QT code generation for links, security tweaks and a fresh look at the Linked Devices page.
