Gabrielle Union’s first movie project of 2024 will find her starring alongside Emma Roberts in the upcoming comedy, Space Cadet.
The film centers on aspiring astronaut Tiffany “Rex” Simpson (Roberts), who exaggerates everything about herself on her application for an elite NASA astronaut training program and then endures hilarious hijinks as she tries to live up to her falsified qualifications under the watchful eye of NASA directors Pam (Union) and Logan (Tom Hopper).
While keeping her true identity as a Florida party girl under wraps, Simpson uses her quick wit and sheer determination to get by, but will it be enough as one close call after another threatens to unmask her as a fraud.
Written and directed by Liz W. Garcia (“Dawson’s Creek,” “P-Valley”), the hilarious outer space romp also stars Andrew Call, Dave Foley, Desi Lydic, Josephine Huang, Kuhoo Verma, Tony Iwata, Yasha Jackson, and Colombian pop star Sebastián Yatra.
Space Cadet is set to take off on Prime Video on July 4.
